DENK MAL AM ORT is the unique remembrance of a person or a family who suffered persecution during the Nazi period.
Wherever people lived before they were persecuted: their former apartment or villa, a courtyard, a cellar, a stairwell or in front of a residential building.
DENK MAL AM ORT takes place annually on a weekend around the official capitulation dates of the cities Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Coburg, Cologne, Rendsburg and Bleckede.
The doors of houses and apartments are open, the names of our former neighbors, fragments of their biographies, stories of their persecution and escape gradually emerge through talks, readings,
installations, drawings, texts, music, sound, film, poetry, song and more.
